Can Drinking Tea Help To Reduce Inflammation?
Do your joints hurt? Are you looking to soothe sore muscles, or find relief from a chronic inflammatory condition?
Drinking tea can be an easy and proactive way to help to reduce inflammation in your body. Inflammation is one of the ways that the body protects itself. Acute inflammation occurs with minor injuries and is characterized by soreness and swelling, as the body works to repair itself whilst fighting off potential infections.
In other circumstances, people can also suffer from chronic inflammation which persists over time. Chronic inflammation can be the result of illness or lifestyle factors. If you’re looking to reduce chronic inflammation, a variety of teas can provide beneficial anti-inflammatory properties to aid your pursuit.
Teas containing ginger, turmeric, chamomile, and rosehip can be particularly effective for reducing inflammation. In addition, Rooibos tea has been shown to contain flavonoids that can reduce inflammation as well as reduce oxidative stress.
